ABOUT
The Pacific Youth Rugby Festival is a XV Rugby Union event tailored for both male and female players aged
10-18. Held annually over three exhilarating days in Southeast Queensland, the festival draws teams from across Australia and internationally, creating a vibrant, competitive atmosphere that celebrates the spirit of rugby.
Since its inception, the festival has experienced tremendous growth. Starting with 450 participants in 2021, it expanded to an impressive 1,150 players by 2023. This year, the festival is set to be bigger and more inclusive than ever, with the exciting addition of Senior players to the competition.
Our commitment to inclusivity extends beyond just the players. We are exceptionally passionate about providing female players with many opportunities to participate and shine on the field. Additionally, we are dedicated to promoting the involvement of female officials, ensuring that every aspect of the festival reflects our commitment to diversity and equality in rugby.
The Pacific Youth Rugby Festival is more than just a sports event; it is a celebration of culture, community, sportsmanship, and international friendship. Participants and spectators can look forward to a dynamic environment filled with competitive matches, skill-building workshops, and engaging community activities. This festival not only highlights emerging talent but also offers a unique platform for players to develop their skills and experience a rich cultural exchange through international competition.

OUR VISION
As a female-only organisation, the Pacific Youth Rugby Festival is dedicated to embracing a diverse array of cultures and nations, with a profound focus on creating opportunities for female players in rugby union. Our vision is to foster an inclusive environment where every participant, regardless of background, can thrive and excel in the sport.
We are dedicated to promoting the involvement of female officials and support staff. By encouraging women to take on roles such as referees, coaches, and administrators, we ensure that every aspect of the festival reflects our commitment to diversity and equality. This approach not only enriches the festival experience but also strengthens the broader rugby community by championing gender equality and representation.
At PYRF, we believe in the power of sport to unite people and break down barriers. Our vision is to create a festival that not only celebrates rugby but also serves as a beacon of inclusivity and opportunity for women in the sport. Through our efforts, we aspire to inspire the next generation of female rugby players and leaders, fostering a legacy of empowerment, diversity, and excellence.
